Downtown gets new traffic signal

IT’S FINALLY HERE ? Workers from the Mt. Pleasant-based J. Ranck Electric, Inc. installed the new traffic signal at the intersection of Washington (M-24) and Broadway streets. Installation of downtown Oxford’s second fully-functioning traffic light was paid for by the Michigan Department of Transportation. It’s purpose is to slow traffic passing through the downtown area and give pedestrians another safe place to cross the always-busy M-24.
