Dragon soccer team is getting better day by day

The Lake Orion varsity soccer team has been making strides in working in new players this season and Coach Matt Paukovits is pleased with the Dragon’s progress in recent days.
The Dragons are 3-0-2 in the last five games, including victories over West Bloomfield, 3-1, Adams, 1-0, Avondale, 1-0 and a scoreless tie against Bloomfield.
Noah Rieber and Logan Stesko have been among the defensive leaders.
Riley McIlvride, AJ Lively and Richard Doll have led the Dragon’s offense.
Coach Paukovits said the team has merged nine new starters into the fold this season and it took awhile before the players learned how to play together.
‘The kids have been playing well and adapting. We have incorporated nine new starters with our two returning starters and everyone has been improving as the season goes on.?
Lake Orion is playing in the OAA White Division
Adam Smudy scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory over Rochester Adams onn Tuesday.
Dylan Myers made eight saves while earning the shutout for Lake Orion against Adams. Myers has three shutouts in the past two weeks.
