The Lake Orion varsity bowling squads got a pair of 17-13 wins against Clarkston during the second week of Northern Lakes Conference play in Walled Lake on Dec. 10.
The girls, who improved to 2-0, were led by Kelli Skarritt’s two-game series of 349. Kelsey Smedley rolled a 335 and Megan Woityra contributed a 325 for the Dragons.
On the boys side, Nick Dufour led the way with a 445, followed by Robert Bondon (413), Eric Ramaekers (382) and Blake Stephen (370). The team overcame a strong effort from league-leader Clarkston’s Jackson Kimball (480), to record their first win of the season.
The teams will be in action again at Collier Lanes in Oxford at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
