A teacher reported the theft to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office on April 26. She keeps the drones in a locked room and said she last saw the DJI Phantom 3 standard drone, one of two purchased by the district in 2015, before spring break began on March 31.
She noticed it was missing on April 18, along with three batteries, and a hard case backpack.
The total value of all missing items is about $900.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Glover or Det. Hubble at the Brandon substation at 248-627-4911. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
