Another battle in the “war on drugs” was won on the streets of Oxford last week thanks to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Officers seized approximately ? of a pound of marijuana and some pills Friday afternoon from a 24-year-old Oxford Township resident stopped on Dennison St., near the Starbucks building.
According to NET Sgt. Larry Sage, information from another police agency coupled with short-term surveillance by an undercover NET officer led to the bust.
Sage estimated the marijuana has a street value of approximately $1,500.
The suspect is expected to be charged with felony “possession with intent to deliver,” Sage said.
If convicted, the suspect faces a maximum first-offense penalty of up to four years in prison, Sage said
