The 25th annual Ducks Unlimited Banquet is set for 5-11 p.m. tonight, May 2, at Deer Lake Athletic Club.
Social time begins at 5 p.m., with dinner and program starting at 7 p.m. Included will be cash bar, family-style dinner, attendence prizes, raffles, and live and silent auctions.
Items for auction include five-day Carnival Cruise, framed and autographed Ted Lindsey jersey, original painting by Terry Tracy, Palm Springs condo for one week, with roundtrip airline tickets, original, custom-made necklace by Waterfall Jewelers, two limited edition Terry Redlin prints, and an original queen size quilt by Country Quilting Guild.
Items for raffle include stainless steel grill, pair of mountain bikes from Kinetics, wine, restaurant, cordless tool and hunting packages, Carnival cruise, catered pig roast for 30, 42-inch plasma television, utility trailer, 12-piece patio set, and a pair of kayaks.
Attending will be John Tomke, chairman of the board for Ducks Unlimited, from Memphis Tenn.
Since January 2004, North Oakland Country Chapter has raised more than $250,000 in the ‘Wetlands for America? campaign. This will protect more than 1,000 acres of wetlands.
Tickets are $80 for individuals, $135 for couples. Admission includes membership in Ducks Unlimited.
