Brandon’s varsity wrestling team finished in the upper half of team at the Mayville Invitational Dec. 27.
The Blackhawks finished sixth overall out of 14 teams at the invite, with the host Wildcats winning the event.
Brandon had eight wrestlers place at the event, with two competitors placing second: Jimmy Millar (119) and Aaron Hyde (171). In addition, the Blackhawks had two wrestlers place in the 103-lb. class: Travis Murphy (third) and Jake Beebe (sixth).
Andrew Hyde captured the other third-place finish for Brandon in the 152-lb. division. Other Brandon placers were Jack Boswell (fifth, 125), Ryan Claycomb (sixth, 160) and Zeke Grounds (275).
