Expo time

Bob McArthur, Brandon Fire Chief, hangs a banner announcing the Business Expo on May 1, 2003 at Brandon High School, S. Ortonville Road, Ortonville. The second annual event will feature more than 100 area businesses and is expected to attract hundreds of visitors. ‘This year we are expanding the Expo (to accommodate more businesses),? said Robert Renchik, Expo committee member. ‘I think we are going to have a fantastic year.? Renchik said people are still talking about the success of last year’s sold out event which attracted more than 400 visitors to the Brandon cafeteria. ‘We’re adding more exhibitor tables, and again we’re expecting a sell out.’With 60 exhibitors attending the first expo in October 2002, Robert Renchik said the event was a success for local business owners, and predicts that this year the walls of the second expo will be busting at the seams.The additional space will accommodate outdoor seasonal displays including landscaping and bricking.The event will be open to the public from 6-8 p.m.
