Dan Stein, President of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, will speak at the Deer Lake Athletic Club on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
During the North Oakland Republican Committee’s monthly meeting, Stein will update the public about immigration legislation, mobilize the public to contact legislators and explain immigration’s importance as a social issue, said NORC President Jim Runestad. According to Runestad, the committee has been in contact with Stein for over a year.
‘We’re extremely excited. In our organization we encourage all sides of the debate to show up,? said Runestad.
Hors d’oeuvres served at 6:30 p.m. and a cash bar is available. Stein speaks at 7 p.m. and will field questions afterwards. The public is welcome. The Deer Lake Athletic Club is located is located at 6167 White Lake Road.
