To the editor:
On behalf of the Masters family, I would like to thank all the local businesses that helped us raise more than $700 at our benefit bonfire July 28 (‘Bonfire benefit,? The Citizen, July 28, page 5): Adair Lawn Care; Bueche’s Food World; DL Bonner’s; Buck’s Dollar Store; Curves; Cranberries Cafe; Hamilton’s Feed; Hamlin Pub; Mammoth Video; Mill Street Market; Mr. B’s of Troy; Papa Bella’s Pizza; Renderoni’s; Shear Madness; Tom’s Market; M-15 Party Store; Brandon Township Library; Glass With Class bead store; Waste Away; Willow Pointe; Village Pub; Tranquility Spa; Mike’s Cell and Tanning; and Bullfrogs.
The money will help their son, Jonny, get closer to receiving the stem cells he desperately needs. Jonny has ALD and needs all the help he can get.
There is a Jonathan Masters fund set up at Chase Bank and also a donation can at Mill Street Market, 457 Mill St., if you can help.
