A fawn was lying on the porch when Oxford resident George Navarre got home on June 21.
The next day the fawn returned and laid down in the same spot next to the porch railing. She was enjoying the view of the woods surrounding the house.
Later in the afternoon, Navarre spotted the fawn underneath the porch cooling off on the hot day.
Navarre would see the mother and two more fawns in the woods, but they didn’t approach the house.
The fawn only rested on the porch for three days, Navarre noticed. He reported he has seen the family running around in the woods.
