Foundation grants awarded

Goodrich – Six Goodrich Education Founadation grants were recently awarded to Goodrich teachers and volunteers to enrich learning with opportunities not normally included in the budget.
Dan Hartley, 11th-grade consumer economics teacher was awarded a grant for a stock market simulation.
The Reid Elementary Outdoor Education Committee was awarded a grant to purchase field guides, identification posters, and a set of binoculars to support learning at the outdoor facility at Oaktree Elementary.
GHS art department teacher Caren Huizenga was awarded a grant to purchase videos and books to supplement ceramics class instruction.
Music teacher Jennifer Davis was awarded a grant to purchase a CD-cassette stereo system to use for musical examples, listening lessons, and recording parts for Goodrich Middle School choirs.
The Reid Elementary Science Committee was awarded a grant to purchase science books to enhance learning about weather, space, magnets, plants, animals, and matter to be checked out by teachers for use with individual classes.
The Goodrich Community Playground Committee was awarded a grant to purchase a playground bench for parents.
