Four school book fairs scheduled for October

Local schools will be holding several books fairs during the month.
Sashabaw Middle School’s book fair is already underway and will continue during lunch hours Oct. 13 in the sixth grade cafeteria; and on Oct. 18, 19, and 20 in the seventh grade cafeteria.
Additionally, the fair will remain open from 4-7 p.m. on Oct. 20 during parent conferences. The event is sponsored by Sashabaw Middle School’s PTA and all proceeds go toward the purchase of media center materials.
Clarkston High School is holding its first annual book fair from Oct. 12-17 in Lab 200. The fair is open on Oct. 12-14 from 7-7:50 a.m. and 11-12:30 p.m. The fair will be open during parent conferences from 5-8 p.m.on Oct. 12 and 17. The fair is cosponsored by Clarkston High School’s PTA and media center, with the proceeds going toward the purchase of media center materials.
Bailey Lake Elementary is holding its book fair Oct. 24-27 in the school library. The fair will be open at 9 a.m. every day, and will run until 4 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 26, 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 27. On Oct. 25, the fair will include story time evening events. The event is sponsored by the Bailey Lake PTA and proceeds go towards increasing the library’s collection.
Everest Academy is holding its book fair Oct.17-21. Students at Everest are able to make ‘wish lists? by previewing the available books during the week, and then taking the lists home to their parents. Proceeds from the fair will go towards the purchase of additional books for the school’s library.
