After losing earlier in the season to the Brandon Blackhawks, on Nov. 3 the Oxford Freshman Ladycats came ready to play when they hosted Brandon a second time.
With six seconds left in the regulation, Sarah Eisenberg split a pair of free throws to tie the game 51-51.
Brandon inbounded the ball, drove the length of the floor only to meet Amanda Teller, who blocked the lay-up to send the game into overtime with the tie.
In the four minute overtime Oxford played outstanding, holding Brandon to zero overtime points scoring 12 points ending the game at 63-51.
Leading scorers were Nicole Laidlaw-16 points, Sarah Eisenberg-13, and both Lauren Lacroix and Lauren Comerford with 9 points each.
Next game was against Holly on Nov. 8. All 13 girls present (2 were missing)played, and everyone scored with a win of 49-24.
Leading scorers in that game were Amanda Teller-7, Sarah Eisenberg, Lauren Lacroix, and Irene Miner all with 6 points.
The last win was tight at 28-27 against Lapeer East on Nov. 10 was as Sarah Eisenberg was credited for East losing their last two free throws with 11 seconds left in the game.
