Sunday, March 23, domestic assault and resisting and obstructing on Deerwood. A 50-year-old man was arrested for assaulting his wife and his 16-year-old son. Upon being arrested, he did not obey verbal commands from police, struggled with them and used threatening language towards them.
A malicious destruction of property was reported on Perry Lake. Car windows were broken out.
Failure to pay occurred at a gas station on Sashabaw. A Caucasian woman in a brown Ford Explorer did not pay for $32.50 in gas. No license plate number was obtained.
Saturday, March 22, home invasion on Mary Sue. The back door to the residence was forced open. Nothing appeared to be missing.
Reckless driving was reported on White Lake. A couple, while attempting to leave a parking lot, honked their horn at three vehicles blocking the roadway. One of the drivers accelerated nearly hitting the couple’s car. The driver verbally threatened them, spit at the woman and threw a coffee cup at their windshield, before speeding away. The driver was unable to be located by police.
A malicious destruction of property was reported at a business on Dixie. A vehicle parked in the lot had a window broken out.
A malicious destruction of property occurred on Klais. A mailbox on a post was pulled out of the ground and thrown onto the property of a neighbor, whose mailbox was also damaged. There are no known suspects.
Arson and malicious destruction of property happened on Allen. A plastic mailbox was burnt and melt by a fire set inside the box by an unknown person. The interior contained no visible evidence of the type of accelerant used. The homeowner extinguished the fire after an unknown citizen made him aware of the fire.
A home invasion occurred on Harvard. Pry marks were found on the front and back doors of the residence. No entry was made.
A larceny of a handgun was reported from a residence on Tuson. The complainant suspects his son or his son’s friends.
A larceny of a license plate occurred in the parking lot of a grocery store on Dixie.
A radar detector was stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot of a restaurant on Dixie. A window was smashed out to gain entry.
Thursday, March 20, larceny on Pine Knob. Scaffolding, valued at $4,000, was taken from outside a home recently constructed.
Wednesday, March 19, domestic assault on Amy Drive. A 47-year-old man was arrested for assaulting his 74-year-old father.
A larceny from an automobile on Mann. Golf clubs and more, totaling $2,000, were stolen.
Tuesday, March 18, larceny on Paramus. A snowblower and backpack leaf blower, totaling $900, was stolen from a residential garage.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sashabaw for operating under the influence of liquor, a first offense. He registered a blood alcohol level of .133.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on Dixie for operating under the influence of liquor, a first offense. He registered a blood alcohol level of .17.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested on Oakview for operating under the influence of liquor, a first offense. She registered a blood alcohol level of .12.
Monday, March 17, a 28-year-old man was arrested on White Lake for operating under the influence of liquor, a first offense. He registered a blood alcohol level of .14.
Springfield Township
Sunday, March 23, larceny at a business on Big Lake. Two women complained an unknown person stole money from their purses.
Saturday, March 22, malicious destruction of property on Dixie. Two juvenile boys admitted to throwing rocks and breaking windows to Bordine’s Nursery. Their parents were contacted and advised.
A malicious destruction of property occurred on Southshore. Two pickup trucks did “donuts” in the complainant’s front yard, causing deep ruts and possible damage to the sprinkler system. Damage is estimated at $3,000.
Thursday, March 20, malicious destruction of property on Broadway. The complainant stated someone drove over the power cord of a rented submersible pump used to remove water from a parking lot. The cord was torn from the pump.
