Depot Park was packed with white tents filled with food and crafts last weekend as visitors packed downtown to grab a bite to eat and browse tons of unique creations during the Art in the Village festival.
The outdoor event last weekend featured numerous exhibitors displaying wares like hand crafted goods, original paintings, fine jewelry, pottery, sculptures, photography and more.
Each year over 100 artists, from across the United States, visit Clarkston annually to show off their creative talent. Presented by the Clarkston Community Historical Society, the festival has served as the main fundraiser for over 40 years.
Proceeds from the show also help fund the Clarkston Heritage Museum and the many educational opportunities offered to residents throughout the year.
‘I look forward to this every year, and make a special trip to see my family and come to the festival,? said out-of-state resident Ellen Risper.
Art and food was just part of the weekend fun. The festival also featured live entertainment, a silent auction, antique tent and cider and doughnuts.
