Dear Editor,
Thank you for your prayers, compassion, caring, kindness, help, services, and donations to the pig roast fundraiser for my son Tony Hartwick. The pig roast was a success despite the high temperature that day.
Special thank you to area businesses who helped with services and gifts for the auctions including Goodrich Tent Rentals, Alma Hill Breads, Browns Do-It Center, Lucy’s Pet Supplies and Feed, and Country Home Creations. Also thanks to vendors of Goodrich, Flint, and Grand Blanc Farmers Markets including Brenda Hawkins, Starlight Tupperware, Maria’s Garden, Jar Head Salsa, Sol Creations, Madge and Gert Candles, Market Wine Shoppe, The Soap Lady, Crochette Flip Flop, Nostalgia Corner, and others. Please forgive me if I missed anyone.
Tony currently has a LVAD-Heart Mate 11 Electric Heart Pump. He is unable to work. Further follow-up, testing and surgeries will be done through the University Of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. The hope for a heart transplant continues. Please pray for Tony’s recovery and for his wife Renee, daughter Alexandra, and son, Nicholas.
