Get on down to the LO Farmer’s Market

The Lake Orion Farmer’s Market is up and running and offering a unique group of activities on a weekly basis to keep your brain sharp and your interest piqued throughout the summer.
Each week the market is sponsored by a local business as well as a local non-profit organizations. And, to keep it fresh, the market theme changes every week.
Director Heather Muzzy said this was a great opportunity to get involved more with activities happening throughout the community.
‘Not only will items change on a weekly basis with new vendors, you will also discover the behind the scenes non-profit organizations and local brick and mortar businesses and their opportunities,? she said.
New venders include White Pine Coffee of Lake Orion selling beans and grounds every week, and Brandy Whine Farm Nursery with their perennial plants and produce.
A volunteer from Michigan State University’s Master Gardeners will also be on hand answering gardening qualms and questions. Bring a sample cutting and find out if it’s good, bad or indifferent, and find out what to do to better your plants.
