Girl Scouts between first and 11th grade were able to have fun ‘catching the sillies and laughs? at the Sister Lakes day camp held last week.
The girls spent their week making new friends while swimming, singing songs, working on crafts and exploring nature. Girls fourth grade and up could also take part in archery.
Each day had a different silly theme like ‘Thoughtless Cap Thursday,? or ‘Pajama Fashion Friday.? Campers and volunteers were encouraged to be as silly and creative as possible.
Girls were placed into groups by age, where they worked towards earning new badges and try-its (a type of badge Brownie Girl Scouts earn) by showing off the outdoor skills they learned. On Friday, the girls performed skits for their families.
A camper did not have to be a Girl Scout to sign up. The annual camp is open to any girls who are interested in attending.
