Golf outing to benefit youth scholarship fund

A charity golf scramble will be held Sunday, Aug. 9 at Boulder Pointe in Oxford Township to benefit the Christ the King (CTK) Youth Scholarship Fund.
The fund is used to provide money for economically-challenged middle school through high school-aged kids, who participate in the CTK Youth Group, to allow them the opportunity to participate in church camps, retreats, etc. that the CTK Youth Group plans to attend each year.
The cost for non-Boulder Pointe members is $75 each, which includes 18 holes of golf (including cart) and buffet dinner immediately following play at 6:30 p.m. (estimated time).
For Boulder Pointe members, the cost is $35 for golf and dinner.
Range balls to warm up as well as a favor bag are also included in the cost.
There is an opportunity for up to 30 dinner-only participants to enjoy the buffet for $25 each.
In all three cases, $5 of the cost goes directly into the CTK Youth Scholarship Fund.
In addition to the entry fee, each golfer is asked to provide two nonperishable food items for Oxford-Orion FISH.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. and play commences at 2 p.m. with a shotgun start.
The target goal is to have 22 four-person teams playing.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event.
