Goodrich Martian Boys Varsity bowling

Clio — The Goodrich Varsity Boys Bowling team had a strong finish to the 2024-25 regular season on Feb. 15 at the Flint Metro Bowling Conference singles tournament at Clio Bowling and Arcade and Lounge.
Each player in the conference bowled three games that go towards determining the all-conference teams. Once those teams are established, the top 16 went into head-to-head bracket match play
.Goodrich had three boys make all-conference teams and one honorable mention: senior Wyatt Mackinder – first team, 199.9 average; senior Tegan Gross – first team, 198.8 average; sophomore Colton Servello – third team, 185.1 average; senior Weston Birmingham – honorable mention.
After the three games of qualifying, the Martians had four boys make top 16 out of a field of 66 as Gross was third, Mackinder 10th, senior Hayden Yorks 14th, and Servello 15th. Gross and Servello secured first- and second-round victories sending them to the final four where they had to bowl each other. Servello stayed hot and ended up winning and went to the finals, facing off against current state champ Jamison Vanier from Kearsley, losing 246-225.
After press time, the Martians bowled in regionals this week on Thursday and Friday at Richfield Bowl in Flint.
