Goodrich — On Feb. 14 the Goodrich Martian Boys Varsity Basketball team completed an undefeated Flint Metro League campaign with a 77-35 dismantling of the Clio Mustangs.
The 10-0 Martians jumped out to a 22-6 score in the first quarter running up a 41-18 halftime lead. In the third quarter, the Martians held the Mustangs to just five points en route to the win.
Leading scorer Senior Parker LePla tossed in 17 points added eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocks; Colt Maynard tossed in 16 points, delivered one assist and added one steal; Landon Williams 12 points, eight boards and three assists; Drew Aagesen had 8 points, two boards and two blocks, Jensen LePla six points, one board and one helper. Bryce Woods five points, one assist and one steal.
The stifling Martian defense held all the Mustangs to under 10 points. Roman 10.5/11.5.
