Goodrich restaurant certificate stolen in break-in

Atlas Twp. – The staff of Cranberries Caf? has agreed ‘not to tackle? a patron who may redeem a stolen gift certificate.
The paper certificate was recently taken from BR Pet Groomers in Goodrich after the suspect forced open the front door of the business with a pry bar, said Detective Sgt. Joe Parks, commander of the Genesee County Sheriff Atlas Township Precinct.
Legitimate Cranberries? diners don’t need to worry about scrutiny, as certificates are numbered, says owner Patty Plant.
Plant isn’t interpreting the stolen certificate as a compliment.
‘I would like to say it was flattering, but I think they just took it along with the contents of the drawer,? said Plant, who plans to ‘leave the apprehension to the police.?
The certificate was taken along with $60 cash and an envelope of credit card receipts. The break-in is estimated to have occurred between 3:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 9 a.m. Feb. 22 at BR Pet Groomers, located at 7461 S. State Road in Goodrich. Police have no suspects.
