Goodrich Village Planning Commission

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 207 of 1921 , as amended (the City or Village Zoning Act), notice is hereby given that the Village of Goodrich Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on February 27, 2006, for the purpose of considering amendments to the Village Zoning Ordinance affecting the entire Village of Goodrich.
The public hearing will be held at the Lyceum Building, 10237 Hegel Road Goodrich, MI 48438. The purpose of the public hearing is to explain the proposed changes to the Ordinances and receive public comment on the proposed change. AIl interested parties are welcome to attend and present their comments. Proposed changes are summarized below:
? Section 19.5 Conditional Rezoning: The proposed language will establish the authority for the Village to approve rezoning requests with conditions that are offered by the applicant. The language also provides for the review procedures, review criteria, and associated regulations to process and monitor rezoning with conditions.
? Article 10 Planned Unit Development (PUD) District: Proposed amendments to the PUD District provides review procedures and design standards for commercial PUDs, language that clarifies the Village’s regulatory flexibility in approving PUDs, and miscellaneous amendments that increase the extent of natural features preservation.
This notice provides a summary of the major amendments but not all changes are shown above. A copy that illustrates all changes is available for public inspection at the Village Offices, 7338 S. State Road, Goodrich, MI 48438, during regular business hours.
Written comments concerning the proposed Ordinances may be submitted to the Village Hall at the above location prior to the hearing and will be made part of the official record. All minutes of meetings are available at the Village Clerk’s office.
