The Spray Park Committee is working hard to keep the memory of Renee Przybylski alive.
The group is looking to raise $153,000 for the construction of a spray park at Clintonwood Park that will be dedicated in the memory of Renee Przybylski. Renee was a former day counselor who lost a battle with leukemia in December, 2001.
To date, the group has raised $15,000 for the spray park, with more fundraisers slated for this summer. One such event is the 2nd Annual Renee Przybylski Memorial Golf Outing scheduled for Sunday, July 27.
The event will take place at Pine Knob Golf Course with a 8 a.m. registration and continental breakfast and a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The cost is $111 per player with single entries welcome. The event includes breakfast, golf, beverage tickets, lunch and door prizes. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. Payment is needed by July 1 and questions can be directed to Ralph at (248) 625-1386.
Additional fundraisers include a raffle on July 4 as well as selling bottles of water outside the Law Offices of Robert Kostin during the Fourth of July parade.
‘The response from the community has been great,? spray park committee member Kelly Arcello said. ‘The schools have done so much. It has just been awesome.?
The committee has also constructed a sign at the entrance of Clintonwood Park which shows how much money has been raised and how much work still needs to be done.
