The Pfeiffer Family, 36-year Lake Orion residents, have recently purchased the 10-year-old Northern Flooring & Interiors. The new Northern Flooring & Interiors offers customer care from the three generations of floor covering professionals.
Our job is to assist in any way possible, say the new owners. We want to make it easier for our clients to experience truly honest and genuine customer service when shopping for floor covering.
The new team includes Gavin Pfeiffer, who oversees daily operations, Kurt Pfeiffer, who is responsible for all logistical, computer and communication matters, as well as sales and customer care. They also have the professional support of the whole family. Gavin’s mother Gail Pfeiffer is an award-winning interior designer, as well as four siblings who all are floor covering industry veterans.
The Pfeiffers? say they decided to get involved in the re-organization of Northern Flooring & Interiors because the North Oakland County area needs a truly high quality, customer service-driven flooring store. We believe that we can earn the privilege of providing just that to area homeowners.
To show an example of our dedication to new product introduction, we will be one of the first retailers to offer Wilsonart’s new ‘Permaplex? laminate flooring. ‘Permaplex? offers a laminate surface 250 times thicker than other products.
Obviously, we want to provide flooring to as many familys as possible, but we also want to establish our store as part of the community.
Habitat for Humanity is always happy to accept support. We have already donated carpet materials, but we plan on growing our contribution to them as our business grows.
The Memorial Day Sale, and Labor Day Sale, at Northern Flooring & Interiors will be geared toward making a contribution directly to Habitat for Humanity.
In addition to providing excellent flooring choices and first rate customer care, we also know a lot more goes into a home renovation project. We will do what needs to be done to ensure your flooring project goes smoothly. Furniture, pianos, pool tables, all can be moved, as well as old flooring materials can be removed and disposed of, so homeowners will have one less item to consider.
Interior designer, handyman and other services will be offered as referrals to our customers for areas in which we don’t have expertise.
Not only will our friends and neighbors be able to rely on honest customer service, but we will be able to show the widest selection of floor covering options, and the knowledge and experience to intelligently assist in the entire process.
Gavin says that at present he has a very diverse selection of ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, sheet vinyl, linoleum, laminate and carpet, all well represented in our showroom.
We will diligently pursue new sources of all types of flooring, including a new selection of cork, natural linoleum, exotic and traditional hardwoord flooring. We hope to have our new samples on display for the spring season.
