Emmerson Judith Phyle was born to Bethany and Charles Phyle II of Independence Township on Jan. 5, 2009, at 11:22 p.m. Born at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Emmerson weighed 9 lbs and measured 21 inches.
The Phyles are this year’s winner of the annual Baby New Year Contest. Each year, the baby with the earliest birth date is chosen from qualifying entries’along with his or her family’to receive a bundle of prizes.
The Phyles received gifts from Winship Studio, All Star Engraving, Mico’s Real Estate, Michigan College of Beauty, Clarkston Cleaning Service, Pink Salon, Grattan Optometry, Oakland County Sportsmen’s Club, Smith’s Disposal and Recycling, Family Treasures Photography, Clarkston Auto Wash Co. and The Clarkston News.
