Help’or get help’with local home repairs this spring

Volunteers are needed to help with this year’s April 24 Oakland County ‘Rebuilding Together? program to help area residents rehabilitate their homes.
Also known as ‘Christmas in April? the program has helped more than 30 senior citizen, low-income, and disabled homeowners in the Brandon area benefit from the volunteer work.
Skilled building professionals, as well as general fix-up and clean-up volunteers are needed for the effort.
Homes to be repaired are also needed. Repairs are completely free of charge to the homeowners, thanks to the generosity of businesses, banks, professional trades, churches, civic groups, and individual.
A home can be sponsored for $1,500, a tax-deductible donation.
Both volunteer and homeowner forms are available at the office of the Brandon Township clerk, located at 395 Mill St. in Ortonville, or at the Brandon Township Senior Activity Center, located at 345 Ball St. in Ortonville.
