Technology, tradition and good honest service have made Jeff s Tire and Auto Service Inc. a family fixture in Oxford.
Located at 72 S. Washington, Jeff s Tire and Auto Service handles all repair work ranging from tune-ups to brakes and suspension to exhaust, including custom bending.
‘We do a lot of suspension and front end work,? said owner Jeff Quandt. ‘We have Hunter Alignment equipment which can handle even oversized vehicles up to 12,000 pounds.?
Jeff’s also does repairs on alternators, batteries, and can even handle engine replacements. They carry most brands and models of tires, including some used ones.
And if they don’t have a particular tire in stock, they can get it within a day.
To make sure those new or used tires are installed properly, Jeff’s utilizes the CORGI tire balancing system, the latest technology in wheel balancing.
The company has been an Oxford fixture for more than 13 years and knows its customers very well, said Marsha Quandt, wife of owner Jeff. Prior to Oxford, the auto repair shop was located in Troy for 19 years.
‘We see it generationally now with parents sending their children to us. We have a truly loyal customer base and we get new customers too, because of the local growth and word-of-mouth,? Marsha said.
‘We take pride in repairing most all cars and trucks. We do a lot of work with families. We have many families where we now service their children’s vehicles too,? said owner Jeff Quandt.
Jeff’s technicians combine to give their customers more than 115 years of experience and have at their disposal, the latest in automotive technology.
Jeff s is equipped with the All Data System, which allows his staff to provide regular vehicle updates via computer.
‘This allows us immediate access to all automobile systems, and allows us to cut diagnostic time and give accurate estimates,? Quandt said.

The mechanics also have access to technical service bulletins that previously only dealerships could receive.
‘Our employees must have access to this new diagnostic equipment, including scanners, scopes and analyzers. Our staff always has access to the latest training and technology,? Quandt said.
With the Oxford area growing by leaps and bounds, more and more cars and trucks have found themselves on the local roadways.
‘With the traffic growing the way it is, there’s a greater need for qualified technicians with access to the technology to service these vehicles,? Quandt said.
The company also keeps track of every customer’s vehicle, maintaining a computer record of all service so that they know everything that has been done to the vehicle.
Besides the latest in techology, Jeff’s Tire and Auto Service offers customers a truth in pricing.
‘We stress honesty here,? Marsha said. ‘We prefer not to lure people in with a low price then change it. We guarantee up-front pricing.?

Quandt runs his business by a simple philosophy.
‘We’re not the largest, however, we insist on an honest job at a fair price,? he said.
