BROCK, JOYCE WANDALEE of Ortonville, Michigan, died on January 25, 2024. She was 88. Joyce was born October 4, 1935 in Paragould, Arkansas to William and Allie (nee: Moore) Boucher. She married William David Brock on August 27, 1960 in Warren, Michigan. Joyce is survived by her loving husband Dave Brock; sister, Carol Clarke and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Neil Boucher. Joyce was a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School in Warren and was her class Salutatorian. She took several classes in college and had 4.0 in each and every class. Joyce was an executive secretary for Lear Corp. and later worked for Pontiac General Hospital where she was also an executive secretary. She later worked for Jack Van Impe Ministries. As a young secretary she was chosen to be President Richard Nixon’s secretary when he came to Michigan which she was very proud of. She sang in the Van Dyke Baptist Church Choir and also in Ladies trios. Joyce loved all animals, giving generously to local animal shelters. She also donated to many religious causes and to the Jewish Community. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Goodrich 6116 S. State Road, Goodrich, Michigan. Pastor Ben Gonzales, officiating. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Village Funeral Home 135 South St., Ortonville, Michigan and after 10:00 a.m. at the church on Monday.
