Ken Quisenberry: I am always proud to say, ‘I live in Ortonville.?

Dear Editor
This November I will conclude my term as Village of Ortonville Council President. I would like to thank our entire community for the privilege to serve in that capacity. I am very proud of the accomplishments we have made in recent years. Myself and the rest of the village council have made some dramatic changes (some seen, some unseen). Despite the unfavorable economic conditions, we’ve been fiscally responsible and yet still changed our management structure, front office, and DPW. I firmly believe that our services have actually improved dramatically, despite budget cuts. We’ve also placed high priority on improving infrastructure, like sidewalks, drains, and roadways.
It has also been a great pleasure to help guide, and serve with members of the DDA (Downtown Development Authority) and our business community. I’ve seen a sense of pride and dedication take hold, which will certainly lead to stability and prosperity.
In any capacity, it is my wish to see that our community continue to embrace the fundamental values that make our blend of ‘Small Town? and ‘Rural Splendor? a wonderful place to live. No matter where I go, I am always proud to say, ‘I live in Ortonville.? Thank you again.
Kenneth J. Quisenberry
