The varsity girls basketball team defeated the 9th ranked team in the county, Avondale, by the score of 44-34.
The teams Defense and Rebounding held the Yellow Jackets to 15 points in the first half taking a commanding lead at halftime 30-15. Alexis Haan led all scorers with 20 points, Jackie Hood had 12 points, and Marissa Secontine added 9 points
The team is now 2-0 and travel to Rochester Stoney Creek tomorrow.
