Oxford’s varsity girls basketball team was holding its own with Lapeer East last night, but ultimately couldn’t close the deal.
Oxford lost to East 52-42. The game was tied at halftime and East held a 33-32 lead after three quarters.
However, four Oxford players fouled out allowing East’s Missy Turonek to score 10 points on free throws to win it for East.
