Lake Orion Soccer Club wins four of six

U9 Boys: With only two games left in the fall season the LOSC Boys U9 team remains undefeated, at 8-0, after their game against GPSA in Grosse Pointe on Saturday. This game belonged to the whole team. Drew Hall, Graham Hemingway, Parker Blust, Cade Cordone, and Colton Farley kept the ball away from their net and at the other end of the field for the first half. Any drives that got past the defense did not get past goalie Adam Chlebek, giving GPSA a scoreless first half. LOSC won the game by a score of 3-1, with goals from Kyle Hayes, Stephen Zmijewski on a penalty kick and Adam Chlebek. The boys will face LOBOS at Civic Center Park on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. and Clarkston Select on Oct. 21, at Clintonwood Park at noon, in their last game of the season.
U10 Boys: The LOSC Boys U10 team faced two teams from Troy Elite this weekend, losing to both teams. The boys played hard and were determined, but did not prevail in the end. Their level of play has improved against these two teams since playing them earlier in the season but not enough to take the wins. The team will face P. Magic Black on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Steiner Elementary at 5 p.m.
U11 Boys: The U11 Boys played an intense game against the Fraser Flyers at Friendship Park on Sunday. The Flyers scored within 30 seconds of the initial kick-off but that was not enough to keep the LOSC boys from moving on. LOSC won by a score of 3-2 in a great game. Scoring goals for LOSC were Evan Hurford, twice, and Brad Eick. The boys fought hard and came out on top.’They will face the LOBOS on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Friendship Park 1A at 2 p.m., in their last game of the season.
U14 Girls: The U14 Girls Division had a successful weekend winning two games in a row against tough competition.’Scoring Saturday against the Grosse Pointe Breakers were Camille Bova (#8)’and Morgan St. Henry (#6).’Hallie Burns (#3) and Amber Najjar (#2)’scored Sunday against the FSSC Flames.’Excellent work by the’defense and’goalie’Haley Barnes (#10)’held each team to only one goal, leading to a pair of 2-1 victories.’The next game for the girls will be at Friendship Park 2 on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. against BWSC Extreme.?
