Second-graders in teacher Shannon Huhta’s class at Leonard Elementary tried their hands at being godlike by making mountains and lakes.
Of course, they were only models, but they were still pretty impressive.
On Tuesday, the students presented the three-dimensional models they created at home depicting various types of land forms and bodies of water.
‘They could make it as small as a shoe box or as big as a poster board,? Huhta said. ‘I asked them to create two land forms and two bodies of water in their project and then write some information about how they connect with one another.?
‘It was a culminating project. We’ve been learning about this since September.? ? CJC
