Those interested in shopping local can find out how at Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce’s Best of the Best Expo, 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 12, at Clarkston High School, 6093 Flemings Lake Road.
‘This is where you can walk the talk and learn about local businesses,? said Penny Shanks, chamber executive director. ‘You’ll be surprised how many friends and neighbors you’ll see.?
More than 1,000 attendees are expected to view more than 100 exhibits throughout the high school cafeteria and ‘Main Street? lobby.
‘We have several new exhibitors,? Shanks said. ‘Bordine’s is new ? they’ll have a beautiful display. Coffee News will celebrate their one-year anniversary with free cake.?
Many medical providers and assisted living centers will present information, along with several service organizations.
‘This is the place to get information on how to get more involved in the community,? Shanks said.
Culinary students with Oakland Technical Center ? Northwest of Springfield Township provide hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
Admission and parking is free. The chamber and exhibitors host several drawings for door prizes and gifts. Enter at the school main entrance.
