The day the community was waiting for since early August finally arrived as the Salvation Army Thrift Store, located on M-24, just south of Drahner Road, opened it’s doors to the public on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Bill Vernier and Jerry Daniels from the American Legion Post 108 in Oxford helped celebrate the opening by raising a new American Flag in front of store at 1200 S. Lapeer Rd.
Cars filled the parking lot throughout the day with excited shoppers waiting to see what kind of bargins could be found inside. ? Andrew Moser
