Leonard readers attract Iron Man’s attention

Leonard Elementary celebrated the end of ‘March is Reading Month? with a superhero assembly on April 7.
‘March is Reading Month was a really fun month (full) of reading and reading-related contests and activities,? said Leonard Principal Paul McDevitt. ‘Superheroes was the theme and we had a lot of fun with it.?
The assembly included a very special surprise visit from Tony Stark, better known as Marvel’s Iron Man, and his personal assistant Pepper Potts.
From preschool to fifth grade, the entire school spent a combined 115,005 minutes reading during March.
Top readers were Elia Levy, Evelyn Wells, Norah Wright, Nicholas Daversa, Sammy Jo Yocum, Lilah Haden, Parker Rayner, Emma Wassell and CC Kozloff.
