Kudos to parents, board
(In response to: ‘Goodrich superintendent draws ire for interrogative style, school board criticized,’ The Citizen, Dec. 3, page 1)
Dear Editor,
Goodrich School District is not the first to experience the scenario described in The Citizen’s Dec. 3 issue.
Kudos to the parents and school board members who are standing behind their staff.

Goodrich Downtown
Christmas
Dear Editor,
The Goodrich/Atlas Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all that helped make Goodrich’s Downtown Christmas 2016 successful.
The support of the Village of Goodrich, Goodrich volunteers, and Goodrich Festival committee is greatly appreciated. Both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts added much to the festivities, along with the Goodrich High School Band. Tree Top Farms generously gave wagon rides to all. Many thanks go to all the elves selling their wares along the streets. The Goodrich Methodist choir, Pastor Jon from Lakeview Community Church and the nativity members from the River Church with their animals were great participants reminding us of the true reason of Christmas.
Wishing all Merry Christmas, Patty Plant, chairperson Downtown Christmas.
Thank you Brandon EMT
Dear Editor,
A note of thanks to the Brandon Township Fire Department.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a thank you for the kind, compassionate care my wife received throughout her recent illness. On multiple occasions, when she required emergency assistance, the level of care at the home prior to transport, and the kind words from the EMTs that helped us went above and beyond.
The heroic efforts of our fire department isn’t limited to rushing into burning buildings to save families. Your team members are also busy helping those in their time of need. Words can’t adequately express our family’s heartfelt thanks to the firefighters serving our community.
With kindest regards,
The family of Barbara Horiski
