Thank you community
Dear Editor,
As we enter another year of uncertainty, and confusion about the virus, the one thing that has not changed is the generosity of our beautiful churches, businesses and our community.
The donations to the Ortonville Community Emergency Fund continued strong for those area residents in need of food assistance.
Although there has been a lot of people in quarantine, this did not stop our community in remembering all our at-risk- families. Each donation made was a blessing to someone, and since I work with these our wonderful families daily, they are so very appreciative of your kindness and generosity.
Each time I opened the box at Bueche’s, or the box here in our church, or received someone in my office who donated monetarily, or in a variety of ways, thank you never felt like it was enough compared to the help they presented. I will admit openly I shed many tears each day I have the privilege of working with our generous church and community,
Christ truly lives in the hearts of our community. When I speak of the generosity of this community is does not always pertain to helping our pantry families, they come forward with preparing meals for someone they not even know, or jumping on PayPal and making a donation, or keeping someone in prayer, many times these are complete strangers, but it never stops the heart from reaching out.
In closing, I am honored and privileged to live and work in this community and able to call it home! Thank you everyone for sharing your kindness, you are a true blessing to so many. Wishing you peace and blessings always.
