Library director dies suddenly

Brandon Township- Interim Library Director Colleen Stringer died suddenly of an apparent heart attack July 30 at her home in Hadley Township.
She was 67.
The library was closed July 31 in observance of her death. In a statement released by the library, it was noted that the library’s staff, board trustees, and Stringer’s family and friends have suffered a loss beyond words.
Stringer had worked for more than 13 years as the adult services librarian in Brandon and was named interim director last fall.
‘She has done a wonderful job for the library, the community, and the board and will be missed by everyone,? said
Pete Burkett, library board member. ‘We’re all in shock right now.?
Funeral arrangements were incomplete as of presstime Thursday.
