Dear Editor:
Linda Owen needs to accept she wasn’t voted in for another term. The votes were counted; she lost. The county board of canvassers certified the votes; she lost. She stated in The Citizen that, ‘numerous, numerous? people wanted a recount. (‘Narrow primary vote prompts recount for treasurer seat,? The Citizen, Aug. 23, page 1.) Obviously, 25 people ‘more? than her ‘numerous, numerous? don’t want her as township treasurer. How irresponsible her actions are towards the citizens and taxpayers of Brandon to force us to pay possibly thousands of dollars to find out she still lost!!! As in the Olympics; softball; football; horseracing; whatever; someone wins and someone doesn’t. She didn’t. Whether it’s by a vote; a nose; a point; a run; there is a winner and non-winners. Linda, get over it and don’t waste our dollars on this. People are fed up with the waste in everything, including government, right down to the local authorities.
Linda, quit acting like a spoilsport. Move on. Although, your actions don’t surprise many of us, as it repeats a pattern you have been following for the past several years.
