Select athletes from both the boys’s and girl’s varsity track and field teams participated in the 2006 Oakland County Indoor Track Championship Meet at Macomb County Community College on March 21.
Coach Sharon Kline was pleased with the results from the girls’s events, including hurdles, 60-meter dash, shot put, long jump, middle distance and several relays.
‘We placed in every event we were in,? she said.
The Lady Dragons fielded four athletes who had also competed in the Michigan State Indoor Track and Field Championship at The University of Michigan on March 18.
On the boy’s side, coach Stan Ford had winners in the two-mile event (Rob Shinouskis), pole vault (Jake Phillips) and distance medley relay.
That team consisted of Shinouskis, Drew Collette, Chris Mocny and Andy Tonkavich. Collette also placed third in the two mile.
