Darkness didn’t stop the LOBOS ?97 girls team from taking home a win earlier this month. The team, coached by Lloyd Rogers, won the Brunswick Fall Classic in Brunswick, Ohio, after defeating the home team.
The game, which was tied at the end of regular play, proceeded to go into overtime and eventually had to be decided by a shootout due to darkness.
‘I have been to at least 150 tournaments,? said Rogers. ‘This is the first played into darkness.?
Final score was 4-3, and tournament officials used headlights to illuminate the award ceremony afterwards.
