Lake Orion Baptist School opened their 2006-07 campaign with two wins.
The Baptist Lions traveled to Lapeer for their opener with the Faith Home Schoolers of Lapeer, and came away with a 50-35 victory.
Junior point guard Ben Cuyler led all players with 21 points. Junior center Matt Dobis had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Eric Dewar had seven points and five rebounds and Zach Halleck had six points and six steals.
The Lions travelled to Davison for their second game, hosted by the Faith Baptist Eagles.
The Lions? 36-15 rebounding edge proved to be too much for the Eagles to overcome, as LOBS walked away with a 62-44 win.
Dobis recorded a double-double with a career-high 30 points and 15 boards. Freshman Chris Hojnacki followed with 14 points and six rebounds.
Dewar had nine points and four rebounds, while Halleck again had six points and six steals for the Lions.
Cuyler had a solid all-around game, contributing three points, three rebounds, three steals and five assists.
