A winner has been chosen by the Main Street Organization Committee for the Downtown Orion Logo Contest.
After great deliberations, the group chose the design of Drew Adams, a Lake Orion High School student.
Reflecting a distinct nautical flair, Adam’s design is a view through a ship’s porthole of a downtown street. The Downtown Lake Orion banner that contestants were asked to include in their entries is attached to the glass with an anchor.
Committee members felt Adam’s entry was a good representation of the relationship of the lake to the downtown.
The Downtown Development Authority Board is reserving judgment on the actual logo design it will choose until such time as banners and new signage are ordered or become necessary.
Adam’s prize is fame and a $100 Downtown Lake Orion Gift Certificate that is redeemable at over 30 downtown businesses.
