On Friday, June 13 the Ortonville Downtown Development Authority hosted a picnic for area business owners. The gathering was intended to gain support for the extensive application process to qualify for the Oakland County Main Street downtown beautification program. The application process should take nearly a year to complete before it can be submitted to Oakland County for consideration of accepting Ortonville to the Main Street Program. Chief Bob McArthur tends the fire instead of putting it out.
