My Habitat Clarkston is calling all volunteers who want to make a difference in the community this Sunday.
Last year’s Impact Days had more than 1,100 Clarkston and Davisburg volunteers working throughout the community to meet the needs of individuals and help alleviate budget cuts for public entities.
Past projects have included:
Clarkston Community Schools partnering with each school’s PTA and maintenance personnel to clean up yards/flower beds etc. All school age children, accompanied by an adult, are also welcome;
Filling distaster relief buckets for D.R.A.W. at its warehouse in Waterford;
Impact Hunger, by sorting, packing, and delivering donated meals;
Yard Work for seniors and the homebound;
Kids Against Hunger organizing packaging at Clarkston High School; and
Canines for Christ, visiting local nursing homes.
