Making their voices heard

It took election inspectors about an hour to work through the backlog of voters lined up before Precincts 8 and 9 opened at Clarkston Elementary on Tuesday; after that, a steady stream of local electorate continued to stream in and out through the morning.
‘I was expecting an hour wait, or 45 minutes, at least,? said Tom Brecht of Independence Township. ‘But it was great, I was done in 15 minutes.?
Kurt Houghteling, who also had a short wait, said he was particularly concerned with federal-level ballot issues.
‘I’m sick of everything that’s happening over the last eight years,? he said. ‘I’m sick of the war, sick of the economy’it’s time for a change.?
