The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a man driving recklessly in a golf cart on Stanton Road on July 6.
According to an OCSD report, a man said he saw a white male with green hair driving a golf cart in a reckless manner on the golf course at the Paint Creek Country Club. The cart was driven over numerous greens and through sand bunkers, causing turf damage in some areas. The cart also drove over a flag, shattering the base of the pole and damaging the cup.
The cart left the course and went to a residence on Andrews Road. The man reported the incident to the club assistant manager, who went to the home and found the golf cart. The man said he saw several people in their late teens to early 20s, spraying mud and sand off the cart. The man found a backpack in the cart that had a bottle of vodka and some marijuana in it.
A 21-year-old Detroit man was identified as the driver of the cart and the owner of the backpack, and was cited for the damage and for use and possession of marijuana.
